THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE LOGO IN THE WORLD
Logo Design Love has a great article and retrospective on the “I Love NY” logo. They even have an interview with the graphic designer who created it, Milton Glaser. The funny thing is, that he believed that the logo’s equity would only last a few months. It was created in 1977 by Glaser pro bono. It is now a recognizable symbol not only for the city aforementioned, but for the state of New York as well. It has been adapted into countless knockoffs and souvernirs, revealing its timeless nature.
